Principal's Message

Woodcrest Elementary Community,

I am honored and extremely excited that the Riverside Unified School District Board of Education has selected me as the new principal of Woodcrest Elementary School. I, along with our new Assistant Principal Kathy Stark, look forward to joining the staff at Woodcrest in serving the students, staff and community.  During our introduction here at Woodcrest, we have had a chance to learn about the dedication and commitment the staff has towards supporting the learning of all children and have had the pleasure of meeting many families that call Woodcrest home.

We look forward to the return of Woodcrest students to their classrooms for in person instruction for the 2021 - 2022 school year. We are taking all necessary precautions to ensure a safe return to school for all. The district has provided guidance through the COVID-19 Safe Return to In-Person Instruction and Continuity of Services Plan. The plan will guide us in following Riverside County Health Department expectations as well as better serve the needs of our students. This document, as well as many other resources for returning to school, can be located by visiting the RUSD Website at or more specifically If you have any further questions regarding Woodcrest specific procedures, please contact our office.

This first year at Woodcrest, our focus will be to get to know the school, students, staff, and community even better and support student achievement to the highest level possible. Please stop either of us in the mornings or after school while we are walking around to introduce yourself and share any information you feel is important for Woodcrest’s success. We will be having some morning and afternoon “Meet and Greets” to provide additional opportunities to gather information and introduce ourselves.

We are firm believers that all students can learn and that Woodcrest Elementary will support the learning of every student every day. As your Administrative team, we will care for the social, emotional, physical, and psychological well-being of all children at Woodcrest. We take the responsibility of caring for students very seriously and will work tirelessly to maintain a safe environment. Our door is always open for meetings to discuss any concern you may have or just to introduce yourself.

We can be reached by email at,, by leaving a message at 951-776-4122, or stopping by the office.

We Look forward to meeting you,

Eric Fladland, Principal                Kathy Stark, Assistant Principal
