Dear friends of Woodcrest, We are in a very difficult time right now with the sudden closing of the schools. I know you are doing your best to keep your family safe and healthy. We are here every day providing breakfast and lunch to any students who would like it. Follow this link to more information about the days, times, and locations of meal service. If you would like learning resources for your student to practice skills learned so far this year, follow this link or come to any school during the meal service time to pick up a grade level specific packet. We don't know exactly what will happen next, but we are all in this together and will do whatever we can to support your child's learning and well-being while the schools are closed. Here is a link to a video I posted on ClassDojo and the Woodcrest Facebook page today. I will try to post a new message every school day that we are closed, just to help students feel connected. Registration Information

Beginning August 3rd, we will be available by appointment for enrollment for the 2020-2021 school year.  To be clear, this is enrollment for students that are not currently enrolled.  Current RUSD students moving onto the next grade level DO NOT need to schedule an appointment.  This includes students transitioning from an RUSD Preschool to Kindergarten. Current RUSD students are automatically rolled over in our system.

Para ser claros, esta es la inscripción para los estudiantes que no están inscritos actualmente. It’s time to return all of those textbooks, library books, and other classroom books you have had since March. We will be doing a drive-through drop off similar to when you picked up student belongings earlier this summer. You may come at any of the following days and times regardless of student grade level. 

Fri, July 31 8:00-10:00 and 1:00-3:00

Tues, August 4 10:00-12:00 and 1:00-3:00

Wed, August 5 10:00-12:00 and 1:00-3:00

If you have any teacher owned books from a classroom library, you may return those at the same time. Please make sure the teacher name is written inside or write it on a sticky note and put it inside the cover so we can get it to the right teacher. 

Please note, we are not collecting Chromebooks at this time unless your student is leaving the district.

Es tiempo de devolver todos los libros de texto, libros de la biblioteca y otros libros de clase que Uds. han tenido desde marzo. Haremos una entrega de traslado similar a cuando recogió las pertenencias de los estudiantes a principios de este verano. Puede venir en cualquiera de los siguientes días y horarios, cualquier del nivel de grado del estudiante.

Tenga en cuenta que no estamos recolectando las computadoras Chromebooks en este momento a menos que su estudiante se vaya del distrito.

Each school year households must reapply for the Meal Program to receive benefits for their students. Applications are available HERE and can be completed now for the 2020-2021 school year.  If your household prefers a paper application, they are available at each school site’s main office and at the Nutrition Services building. 

Cada año escolar, los hogares deben volver a solicitar el Programa de comidas para recibir beneficios para sus estudiantes. Las solicitudes están disponibles AQUÍ y se pueden completar ahora para el año escolar 2020-2021. Si su hogar prefiere una solicitud en papel, están disponibles en la oficina principal de cada escuela y en el edificio de Servicios de Nutrición.

Yearbook Update

As of June 15th, that PTA has still not received a date to expect the delivery of our Lifetouch Yearbooks. Our PTA President has reached out to multiple Lifetouch representatives in efforts to get our yearbooks. We thank you for your patience and understanding. Due to Covid-19 pandemic the Lifetouch factories are trying to catch up with printing orders following the state and CDC guidelines. The factories are only able to work at 30% compared to 100% pre-Covid. Lifetouch has reached back out to the PTA and will be following up with us soon. The PTA is committed to ensuring students receive their ordered yearbooks. Thank you again for your understanding.

Pupil Services will provide opportunities for families to enroll and withdraw students for the 2019-2020 school year by appointment on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00am to 2:00pm, beginning, Tuesday, April 21, 2020.

• Paper registration documents will be available at meal service locations and outside the doors of each school’s front office beginning next week.

If you cannot access the SignUpGenius Application Online, please call 951-328-4020. After the short message, you can leave a voicemail with your first and last name, along with a telephone number where you may be reached. One of our staff members will contact you within 24-48 hours to schedule your appointment.

Appointments to enroll new students to Riverside Unified School District, as well as Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten (K) students for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year will begin Tuesday, May 5, 2020 and continue through June 19, 2020.

We want to inform you that our SAP Counselor Ms. Allen is continuing to support our students and their families during these changing times with any mental, social, or emotional health needs. If you or your student would like to connect with her, she is available by email at, Class Dojo - the classroom is titled (Woodcrest Social Emotional Support), and/or you may still leave her voice a message at (951) 776-4122 Ext 45647. 

Additionally, Ms.Allen has a Google classroom that your student can join for weekly coping skill tips, social/sibling skill tips, and positive uplifting messages. Please feel free to reach out to her, should your family need any mental, social, or emotional health support.
