New arrival and dismissal procedures

In order to ensure more secure campuses and facilities district-wide, RUSD is implementing consistent procedures at every site. For the first week of school, parents of K, 1st, and 2nd-grade students may walk their children to their classrooms in the morning before school. As of September 5th, students will be dropped off at the gate and walk to class on their own. Kindergarten students will be supervised continuously from the gate to their playground by our noon supervisors and student leaders. Remember, the gates open at 7:50 and the bell rings at 8:15.

New dismissal procedures will begin as of the first day of school. TK and Kindergarten students will be picked up after school by parent or guardian at the double white gates by the lunch court. First-grade students will be kept inside of the gate closest to the library and will be dismissed to parent or guardian from there for the first month of school. All other students will exit the campus through the middle gate facing the front driveway. Older siblings may pick up their K or 1st-grade siblings and then exit campus together.

Any person needing to enter the campus, other than a Woodcrest employee, will need to enter through the office, sign in, and receive a visitor's badge before being allowed on campus from 7:30-4:00 each day.

Thank you for understanding and for helping us to keep our campus safe and secure for everyone! With your patience and assistance, these new procedures will flow smoothly. See you on Monday!
